Blessed with Abraham (Galatians 3:6-9)
Ben Simpson, January 17, 2010Part of the The One and Only Gospel series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
When you were growing up, did you want to be like your daddy? Most kids certainly do. In this text, Paul is encouraging all believers to be like their father, Abraham. As he continues to argue that justification is by faith alone, Paul holds up the biblical example of Abraham. In this message, Pastor Ben leads us to rejoice in the heritage of Abraham.
Sermon Notes:
BIG IDEA - Rejoice in the heritage of Abraham
Point 1 - Abraham is our example
Point 2 - Abraham is our father
Point 3 - Through Abraham, we are blessed

Galatians 3:6-9
6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?
7 Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” 9 So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
