Step 1

The first step to membership at WMBC is to trust Christ as your Lord and Savior.

God created everything, especially humanity. He made mankind in His image and desires to have a close relationship with us. However, through the sin of our first father Adam and our own personal sin, we are separated from God, who is holy. There is nothing that we can do of our own works and merit to reconcile us back to God. That’s why Christ had to come and die. He lived the life that we cannot live and died the death that we deserve.  Therefore, all those who repent of their sin and place their faith in Christ alone will be saved.

Typically, we ask some simple questions to help people begin to determine if they are saved:

  1. Do you believe that you are a sinner and separated from God because of your sin?
  2. Have you repented of or turned from that sin?
  3. Do you hate your sin?
  4. Is the pattern of your life one of obedience to God or one of sin?
  5. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was sent to die for your sin?
  6. Are you trusting in the work of Christ alone for salvation and in none of your works?
  7. Do you love and desire to be around other believers?
  8. Have you seen spiritual growth in your life?
  9. Do you desire to know God more?
  10. Are you increasingly governed by God’s Word?
