Our Pastor & His Family

Our pastor is Ben Simpson!  Ben began his ministry at West Main Baptist in September 2008.  Soon after the Lord saved him in 1997, he met Christy, and they were married in 2002.  The Lord has now blessed them with three wonderful children, Zachariah, Elijah, & Elizabeth.

Born and raised in Bowling Green, KY, Ben was licensed by Smiths Grove Baptist Church in March 2003 and ordained by Crofton Baptist Church in September 2005.  He earned his Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2007.  Prior to coming to Alexandria, he has served on staff at churches in Crofton, KY; Charlestown, IN; Smiths Grove, KY; and Madison, IN.  Ben and Christy have also served on many domestic and foreign mission fields, including Appalachian Kentucky, with the Navajo in New Mexico, the Netherlands, Scotland, England, Ireland, Mexico, Jamaica, Chile, and Peru.

They are so happy to be serving God alongside the people of WMBC!
